Store Manager

At Daily Thread, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our sales floor team and drive business growth. As a key member of our management team, you'll be responsible for overseeing store operations, creating and implementing sales strategies, and providing exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed sales and productivity targets
- Manage controllable expenses, including payroll, supplies, and shrinkage
- Set an example of exceptional customer service and lead sales efforts on the sales floor
- Drive organic traffic to the store through community outreach events, marketing, and building relationships
- Teach and monitor associates on store operations and policies
- Recruit, train, motivate, and retain quality sales associates and management
- Set goals and manage to expectations, clearly communicating metrics for success
- Ensure the business is open for all posted operating hours
- Meet monthly with associates to discuss performance, coach, and provide suggestions for improvement
- Maintain high visual merchandising and housekeeping standards
- Perform daily paperwork reconciliation and other operational tasks
- Ensure the schedule is complete and posted by Wednesday every week
- Protect store assets and inventory, reconciling inventory to identify and reduce shrinkage
- Implement company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum one year experience in retail management, knowledge of local market and clientele a plus
- Multi-lingual a plus
- Full understanding of specialty retail, including business development, visual merchandising, and store operations
- A positive, outgoing, high energy personality, entrepreneurial, sales-focused, and takes full ownership of the store's business at all levels
- A mentor and leader to staff and peers, developing individual strengths and identifying opportunities
- A trainer able to teach skills in customer service, selling, and operations
- Experience or aptitude in driving traffic to the business through social media and participating in marketing/community events is highly desirable

Physical Requirements:
- Capable of standing for the entire duration of a shift
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
