Overview:
The Pulmonary Unit, located on the 6th floor of the new Main Tower, consists of 12 beds dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients facing acute and chronic respiratory challenges.
The nursing team collaborates closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists to ensure the highest quality of care.
As a Pulmonary Nurse, you will utilize nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, all while adhering to the organization's policies and procedures.
Your role will include maintaining practice standards and coordinating patient care activities among assigned staff to deliver quality nursing services.
Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan, employing nursing processes for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Function within the established policies and procedures of the organization, demonstrating accountability and professional growth.
- Ensure the maintenance of practice standards and oversee patient care activities of assigned staff to uphold quality nursing care.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum Experience Required:
New graduates of a nursing program are welcome to apply.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or NLC Multistate License. BLS certification is mandatory.
Additional Qualifications:
Advanced certification in a specialty area is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is also preferred. Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
