Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Management: Order and administer medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed by physicians to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.
  • Treatment Administration: Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by physicians, taking into account each patient's unique needs and medical history.
  • Communication and Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that other healthcare team members provide care according to each patient's care plan and personal wishes.
  • Charting and Documentation: Accurately complete necessary charting and documentation in a timely manner to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Continuous Observation and Monitoring: Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents, identifying any changes in their condition and notifying physicians and family members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Possess a current RN, LPN/LVN license in good standing.
  • Effectively communicate with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
  • Able to make decisions independently when warranted.
  • Knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.
