Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for directing and administering the housekeeping program to maintain a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect the environment to ensure Infection Control and Safety standards are maintained
  • Supervise employees engaged in housekeeping activities, including operating polishing machines and automatic scrubbers
  • Establish standards, work methods, and schedules to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping operations
  • Assist in training personnel and evaluating the effectiveness of the housekeeping program
  • Maintain records and prepare reports as required
Requirements
  • Completion of the eighth grade plus two years of full-time, paid experience in housekeeping activities for a large organization
  • One year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related field
