Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Dayton, OH.

This is a Permanent Full Time position that requires a Master Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints.
  • Coach and mentor other technicians in maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics.
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
Benefits
  • Average Weekly Pay: $1340
  • Hourly Pay: $33.50 per hour
  • Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays up to $500 Every Quarter
  • Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays $3500 at 30 days and $3500 at 90 days
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 K, and other benefits start at 30 days.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or Technical Certification or Post Secondary degree preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
