Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is a key member of the Somafina team, responsible for overseeing the company's picking, blending, and Unit Dose operations. This role requires a strong leader who can direct the efforts of department supervisors, manage day-to-day production activities, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the efforts of department supervisors to ensure efficient production operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and review progress with management regularly.
  • Recommend equipment purchases to improve operations, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Collaborate with management on hiring, training, and termination of employees.
  • Develop and maintain cost and capacity models to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee the production scheduling process to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the group's information and planning systems, as well as quality assurance systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and proposed Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma; Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related industry.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as calculations and yield analysis.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • English proficiency required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to handle objects.
  • Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, and color vision.
