Counselor II

Amity Foundation is a renowned organization dedicated to providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Substance Abuse Counselor II to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering face-to-face rehabilitative programming services in our Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). This includes conducting group and individual sessions, implementing scheduled program curriculum, and engaging participants in daily activities.

• Deliver treatment programming services to participants and conduct group and/or individual sessions.
• Effectively implement scheduled program curriculum and lead face-to-face group and individual meetings.
• Engage participants daily, reinforce group rules and expectations, and work directly with participants to develop and implement treatment/action plans.
• Review treatment plans, evaluate and record treatment progress, and maintain accurate and timely participant records.
• Prepare reports, records, and plans that are consistent with Amity standards and comply with applicable clinical and administrative rules.
• Liaise with transition/reentry staff, plans, and prepare transitional documents as directed by CDCR for continued community program activities.
• Work collaboratively with CDCR, DRP, CCHCS, and institution staff, as well as co-faculty, including Supervisors, Directors, and Regional Directors.
• Participate in monthly, block, cross-training, curriculum training, technical assistance training, or other training as appropriate.

• A Master's Degree or above in a social service-related field, and licensed by, or registered with, the Board of Behavioral Sciences, or Registered with an AOD certifying organization recognized by DHCS.
• OR A Bachelor's Degree in a social service-related field and AOD certified.
• OR An Associate's Degree in social service-related field, AOD certified, and six (6) months of experience providing SUDT services as a certified AOD Counselor.
• OR AOD certified and one (1) to two (2) years of experience providing SUDT services as a certified AOD Counselor.
