Key Responsibilities:

This role is integral to a collaborative team and involves the System Administration of Microsoft 365 Collaboration tools and PDF solutions across the organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with team members and internal stakeholders to design, implement, and oversee cloud initiatives centered on Microsoft 365, aimed at enhancing business functionality and user experience.
  • Configuring, deploying, and managing Office 365 applications and features to align with business needs, industry best practices, and security protocols.
  • Acting as a third-level escalation point, providing technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing inquiries and issues related to Microsoft 365.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, technical specifications, designs, processes, operational procedures, knowledge articles, test plans, and test results.
  • Developing and delivering training programs to inform stakeholders, users, and IT support personnel on best practices and policies.
  • Establishing and enforcing governance policies, user guidelines, and security measures for Office 365.
  • Conducting regular performance and security audits to identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
  • Staying informed about the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, roadmaps, and releases, evaluating their relevance to the organization and recommending pertinent enhancements.
  • Monitoring the performance, availability, and configuration standards of Microsoft 365 services, taking appropriate actions to ensure service levels are achieved.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Teams, MS Teams Voice, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Office 365 tenant administration, GPO policies, Office client patching, conditional access, PowerShell scripting, MS graph connector, external access, and documentation - Required.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Office 365 Engineer, with a solid understanding of Office 365 applications and services - Required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Office 365 administration, including user management, license management, security settings, and compliance features - Required.
  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Office 365 services such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams - Required.
  • Programming/scripting capabilities using PowerShell for Office 365 automation and administration – Desired.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory – Desired.
  • Working knowledge of network protocols, DNS, authentication methods, server, and storage technology - Desired.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity threats, risks, and the importance of safeguarding the enterprise – Desired.

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) along with technical writing proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities; capacity to understand and analyze complex issues.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently and with high quality.
  • Ability to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Capacity to assess the impact of changes and quantify risks to facilitate informed business decisions.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 – 100,000 (dependent on various factors including client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
