Job Summary:

The Military and Family Life Counselor - Child/Youth will provide a range of services, including non-medical counseling, training, and consultation to support the well-being of children and youth. This role requires a strong understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as the ability to work effectively with military families and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide non-medical counseling services to children and youth of military service members and their families
  • Develop and implement training programs to support the well-being of children and youth
  • Consult with parents, child development center staff, and other installation personnel to support the needs of children and youth
  • Collaborate with community resources to provide linkages and support to military families
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure high-quality services
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a mental health-related field
  • Valid, unrestricted independent counseling license
  • Minimum of two years of post-license clinical experience
  • Ability to work effectively with military families and communities
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
