Military and Family Life Counselor - Embedded (Adults)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Military and Family Life Counselor - Embedded (Adults) to provide non-medical, short-term counseling services to military service members and their families. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a mental health-related field, a valid unrestricted independent counseling license, and at least one year of post-licensure clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide non-medical, short-term counseling services to military service members and their families
  • Deliver training and health and wellness presentations as requested
  • Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application
  • Cultivate and maintain direct relationships with commanders and personnel within the assigned military unit
  • Participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations to which the counselor is assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a mental health-related field
  • Valid unrestricted independent counseling license
  • At least one year of post-licensure clinical experience
  • Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children as assigned
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Additional Information: This position requires a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) Clearance, an Installation Records Check (IRC), Criminal History Background Check, and FBI Fingerprints Check. The contractor personnel may be required to pass all tests for and obtain a U.S. military vehicle operator's permit for commercial sedans and similar, for use at Temporary Duty (TDY) locations, if required.
