Nurse Educator Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sumner College as a part-time Nurse Educator. As a key member of our faculty team, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nurses by providing guidance, mentorship, and support to students in their academic journey.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage students in active learning and critical thinking. You will also be responsible for documenting student attendance, participation, and post-grades according to college policy, as well as providing timely and constructive feedback to students.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver informative lectures and improve curriculum design
* Assess and offer constructive feedback to students regarding their progress in the program
* Engage students in a safe and encouraging learning environment
* Meet in-service and professional development requirements
* Maintain knowledge of and adhere to Board of Nursing Chapter 851 Division 21 Standards for Approval: Nursing Faculty

Requirements:
* Unencumbered current Oregon RN license
* Bachelor's degree in nursing accepted, Master's degree in Nursing preferred
* At least 3 years of nursing experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Background in Medical Surgical

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
