ER Nurse Job Description

As an ER Nurse at CHI St. Francis Health, you will be the first point of contact for patients in emergency situations. Your role will involve prioritizing patients based on their medical needs, providing emergency triage, and working collaboratively with a clinical team to deliver stabilizing care.

Responsibilities
  • Use emergency triage protocols to intake, discharge, or admit patients.
  • Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages, adapting care to changes in patient condition as needed.
  • Provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
  • Document the nursing care plan and changes in patient condition.
  • Engage in activities that benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives and mentoring.
Qualifications
  • Active North Dakota Registered Nurse License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
