Job Summary

Bell Laboratories Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastic molding equipment.

About the Position

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain plastic molding equipment, including injection molders and related production equipment.
  • Perform set-up and cleaning operations, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Participate in training programs to develop skills in welding, plumbing, hydraulics, and electrical activities.
  • Contribute to the development of production aids and suggest improvements to production operations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment, and understand inventory management.
  • Familiarize yourself with safety procedures, PPE, emergency procedures, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to take directions and follow through with details, with mechanical and schematic reading ability.
  • Good verbal communication skills and flexibility to work under pressure.
