Key Responsibilities:- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects and failures in various equipment regularly.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Communicate any needs or problems relating to maintenance or repair of equipment with the Manager.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and equipment inspections.
- Assist in the setup and modification of new equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Laws and OSHA Regulations.
- Attend all safety and/or OSHA training sessions as required.
- Five (5) years of experience with diesel engines, gas engines, and heavy equipment.
- A valid driver's License is required.
- Must be able to successfully complete the background check.
- Must provide own tools.
- Must be proficient in operation of equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
- Maintain established company and departmental uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry, fifty (50) pounds without difficulty.
- Ability to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather elements as necessary.
- Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work, and, effectively communicate with co-workers and management is mandatory.
