Job Overview

Position: IT Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of both physical and virtual servers, including LAN/WAN configurations, troubleshooting, and liaising with external partners.
  • Deliver comprehensive end-user assistance for hardware, software, and telecommunications challenges.
  • Provide help desk support services to ensure user satisfaction.
  • Manage the procurement process for technical equipment across various office locations, including laptops, VOIP systems, smartphones, and other peripherals.
  • Support and maintain computer systems through installation, repair, and upgrades to guarantee peak performance.
  • Facilitate the installation of new equipment upon arrival.
  • Engage with vendors for both new and existing equipment support.
  • Ensure all production computers and systems are fully supported.
  • Maintain backups, security protocols, and access rights in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Administer facility security systems, including access controls, surveillance cameras, and identification badges.
  • Manage PBX and voicemail systems to ensure effective communication.
  • Ensure users are equipped with the necessary technology tools for their roles.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and software.
  • Install and configure software in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Assist with data and voice wiring as required.
  • Support the development, testing, and implementation of new systems.
  • Adhere to relevant policies and procedures, including safety and IT standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in PC and software support.
  • Microsoft Certification is preferred; familiarity with MS Exchange and Outlook is advantageous.
  • CCNA Certification is preferred; substantial experience with Cisco networking is essential.
  • Professional knowledge in Computer Science is required.
  • Experience in installing and configuring network interface cards is necessary.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware, and vSphere.
  • Strong understanding of LAN, WLAN, VLAN, DHCP, and DNS protocols.
  • Skilled in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of printers and print servers.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts including Ethernet, TCP/IP, firewalls (Palo Alto), and cybersecurity principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
