Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating academic programs for youth ages 6 to 18.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and deliver high-quality academic programs that meet the needs of our youth, including tutoring, homework assistance, and reading enrichment.
  • Program Implementation: Supervise and implement programs, ensuring a safe and positive environment for youth.
  • Program Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Staff Support: Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality programs.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community organizations, and businesses to enhance program offerings and resources.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with a valid State of Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation.
  • Experience: Proven experience in youth education, program development, and implementation.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and experience with program evaluation and assessment.
Work Environment

This position works 2.5 to 3 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 2PM and 7PM. Work is conducted indoors.

Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to: Sit, stand, and walk for long periods, bend and squat on occasion, lift up to 20 lbs, and maintain a high energy level when necessary.
