Job Title: Custodian

At SBM Management Services, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
  • Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, including restocking supplies and reporting any incidents or hazardous conditions to the supervisor.
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, and report any risk behavior to the supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3-6 months of training or experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment, and willingness to share with team members.
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe and efficient use.
