The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive the company's growth. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization, ensuring fiscal responsibility while supporting the continued expansion within the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget and Forecasting
    • Annual Budget Preparation: The CFO will lead the development of the annual budget by collaborating with department heads to gather input on revenue and expense projections, ensuring that the budget aligns with strategic goals.
    • Weekly Forecasting: The CFO will complete detailed weekly forecasts for the current month, analyzing variances from the budget and providing actionable insights to management.
    • Rolling Forecast Management: The CFO will create and continuously update a rolling forecast for year-end, beginning in March each year.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Ad-Hoc Reporting: The CFO will design and implement ad-hoc financial and operational performance reports tailored to the needs of senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Performance Metrics Analysis: The CFO will establish a framework for tracking and analyzing key financial metrics, enabling proactive decision-making and identifying areas for operational improvement.
  • Audit Coordination
    • Annual Audit Management: The CFO will coordinate the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation, schedules, and analyses.
    • Compliance Assurance: The CFO will ensure that all financial practices comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Banking and Financing
    • Banking Relationships: The CFO will maintain and nurture relationships with banking institutions to secure competitive financing for all company assets.
    • Capital Expenditure Assessments: The CFO will evaluate financing options for capital expenditures, conducting cost-benefit analyses to determine the most advantageous financial strategies.
  • Corporate Support Team Management
    • Operational Oversight: The CFO will oversee the daily operations of the corporate support team, ensuring efficient processes and effective communication across the department.
    • Hiring and Talent Acquisition: The CFO will develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top financial talent.
    • Performance Management: The CFO will establish performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure that all team members are meeting objectives and contributing to overall departmental success.

About You

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled CFO with a proven track record in senior financial leadership roles, preferably in the transportation, rental, or leasing industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance management, as well as a strong background in leading and developing finance teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years in finance and administrative management
  • Proven track record in senior financial leadership roles
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance management
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • MBA or master's degree in finance or a related field preferred
  • CPA designation highly desirable
