Role Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with ensuring that the pail production line and auxiliary equipment are functioning optimally and are well-maintained to meet production goals. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment failures are addressed promptly and that all preventive and scheduled maintenance tasks are executed efficiently. Additionally, this position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility's buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with plant management to meet production objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to mechanics and machine operators as required.
  • Support plant mechanics and operators to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Plan and recommend preventive maintenance for all equipment and delegate maintenance tasks to appropriate staff.
  • Establish and maintain an inventory of spare parts to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Order spare parts for all equipment and facilities using the Maintenance Management System.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings as necessary (e.g., daily production, weekly maintenance).
  • Share expertise and best practices with plant personnel to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required (additional education is a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience in machine operation, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, welding, and machining.
  • Experience in a metal forming manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with handling manufacturing materials.
  • Strong background in process safety management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
