Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician III to join our team at Envision Radiology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the exceptional patient care experience while in our center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technologists through smooth patient transitions and continuously engage with patients on exam expectations and wait times.
  • Prepare patients for exams, including contrast and/or initiating IV as needed, and provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist.
  • Conduct clinical history interviews in preparation for technologist review and perform advanced clinical screening interviews for technologist review.
  • Contact referring provider offices to obtain updated orders, clarify orders, and determine when a new order is required.
  • Ensure patients are notified when prep/exam details have changed prior to the exam's scheduled date.
  • Request and validate patient prior reports and images, and ensure clinical review has been conducted in a timely manner prior to the patient's exam.
Requirements
  • One plus year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment - radiology preferred.
  • Experience placing IV's is highly preferred, and able to provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment and continuously exceed company and customer expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
Education/Certifications
  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED) - continuing education preferred.
  • Active CPR certification.
  • Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, and/or EMT training is preferred.
