Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Imaging Department Technician Aide to join our team. As a key member of our Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication, maintaining safety, and performing various imaging-related tasks to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Screen patients for potential risk factors and prepare them for procedures to minimize anxiety and ensure a smooth experience.
  • Manage patient flow, removing patients from exam rooms and preparing for the next procedure.
  • Follow departmental protocols for procedures and document patient history to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and maintain confidentiality to protect patient privacy.
  • Review, process, and transcribe radiology orders, reconciling discrepancies with providers to ensure accurate care.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies as needed to support imaging procedures.
  • Transport patients and supplies between departments and designated areas to ensure efficient care delivery.
  • Conduct routine stress testing under direct physician supervision, assessing and preparing patients, following protocols, and monitoring patient responses.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recent experience in an acute care setting, preferably in Imaging/Radiology or as a cardiac technician
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Associate's Degree Preferred
  • BLS certification within ninety (90) days of hire
  • Basic cardiac monitoring certification within ninety (90) days of hire
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to conduct duties with professionalism and compassion
