Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Technician to join our team at Extang Corporation. As a Facility Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all facilities and equipment are in good working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping floors, as well as cleaning bathrooms, breakrooms, and other areas.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts to move large scrap materials and equipment.
  • Determine the type of chemicals and equipment necessary for specific cleaning tasks and provide EH&S with the proper MSDS for any new chemicals used in the facility.
  • Assist in setting up and tearing down internal company events.
  • Perform routine maintenance of housekeeping equipment and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that windows are washed, carpets are vacuumed, and trash and debris are removed from entrances and exits to buildings, as well as offices and cubicles.
  • Perform weekly outside sweeps to remove trash and debris and analyze the facility for any issues.
  • May perform monthly fire extinguisher evaluations.
  • Identify cleaning problems and determine appropriate remedies.
  • Create and maintain a daily and weekly cleaning schedule for facility cleaning.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 6 months of related experience required.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
