Job Summary

Augusta University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AV Technologist II to join our team. As an AV Technologist II, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various instructional technologies, video conferencing, and AV equipment, collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to presenters to ensure successful presentations and use of audio/visual systems.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of audio/visual equipment and classroom technologies to proactively identify potential issues and minimize risks to the clients' effective use of the room AV systems.
  • Coordinate with other IT Teams to resolve escalated technical and functional issues.
  • Monitor and support live delivery of instruction and special events utilizing audio conferencing and video conferencing learning technologies.
  • Participate in the recommendation and development of reliable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve tier 1-2 level hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain inventory of audio/visual systems and checkout equipment.
  • Train and mentor new AV student workers and new FT AV staff, including supporting classes and events outside of normal business hours.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of related experience OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of related experience OR High School diploma, GED, or equivalent from a State or Federal accrediting organization and six (6) years of related experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in IT, Computer Repair, Electronics, Audio-Visual, Engineering or related area; InfoComm-Recognized AV Technologist Certificate.
