Position Summary:
The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a dedicated Eligibility Operations Supervisor who exemplifies outstanding customer service abilities, possesses a strong ethical foundation, and is proactive in their approach.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee team performance and conduct behavioral assessments.
  • Ensure accountability among team members and direct reports.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to enhance team development.
  • Facilitate case consultations with colleagues.
  • Gather and interpret data from various reports.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance metrics.
  • Lead regular staff meetings.
  • Navigate and manage multiple computer systems effectively.

Customer Service Excellence:
Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
Completion of post-secondary coursework in fields such as social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, human development, mental health, education, or related disciplines, along with experience in a social service setting involving eligibility determination for public assistance or social services programs, case management, resource development, or similar functions. Experience in supervisory roles and employee performance evaluation is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of experience with Medicaid and Long-Term Care, along with some background in supervision, training, or mentoring.

Additional Requirements:
A valid driver's license or the capability to provide independent, authorized transportation.
