Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Servicing Associate to join our team at First Federal Bank of Louisiana. As a Loan Servicing Associate, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to loan accounts, including corrections and monitoring. You will also be required to cross-train for other job functions within the loan servicing department and be able to train others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize technology and numerous software packages within the Bank to perform loan transactions, including payments, payoffs, and escrow transactions.
  • Assist customers with credit card questions and online access, and assist Loan Servicing Coordinators with credit card duties.
  • Review, monitor, and maintain various reports to ensure accurate and timely loan servicing.
  • Perform a variety of loan transactions, including loan disbursements, transfers, and reversals.
  • Balance transaction tickets and GL entries to system totals.
  • Scans and indexes all processed documentation.
  • Ensure effective insurance coverage and timely placement of lender-placed insurance in cases where other coverage is not available.
  • Monitor and track regulatory compliance as it pertains to flood insurance.
  • Initiate, maintain, and monitor automatic loan payments through the core system.
  • Request renewals from agents and borrowers to ensure continuous coverage.
  • Quote loan payoffs and pay downs, prepare and process loan payoffs, and release necessary documents.
  • Monitor and track escrow processing, including disbursements, analysis, and PMI tracking.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six (6) months related experience in banking and/or training in office skills; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities to perform the job
  • Lending experience is preferred, but is not required.
