Program Instructor
Innovation Works is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Instructor to join our team as a Startable Mentor for the 2021 session of Startable. As a Program Instructor, you will play a critical role in introducing, connecting, supporting, and expanding the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem within Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Main Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for a determined cohort in the Program.
- Instructional and Oversight Responsibility: Have instructional and oversight responsibility for approximately 10 students.
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver the Program curriculum as outlined in training sessions.
- Curriculum Development: Develop program curriculum and instruction in the area of business and/or specialized topics.
- Cohort Support: Work with other instructors to educate and oversee the cohort and advise other cohorts.
- Student Support: Work with students to help them set goals, deliverables, and complete their projects.
- Video Conference Participation: Be present on video conference on dates and times for training between May 31st and June 25th, program delivery from June 28th to August 7th, and meetings and planning from May 31st to August 13th.
Requirements:
- Experience: Have experience instructing teenaged students in a group setting.
- Technical Skills: Have working knowledge of Zoom and Google Suite applications, including Classroom, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar.
- Specialized Knowledge: Have knowledge in one or more of the following areas: SketchUp application, Canva application, branding, sales, and/or pitching.
- Product Design and Business Startup Experience: Product design and/or business startup experience is a plus.
Compensation: Hourly rate: $25/hr.
