Job Description

As a Sr. Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer at General Dynamics Information Technology, you will play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge solutions to complex problems. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining a Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate existing Red Hat OpenShift environments across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter environments.
  • Support OpenShift operators and frameworks, including Crossplane, Kyverno, and RedHat GitOps.
  • Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.
  • Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.
  • Support data services, including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of developer experience.
  • Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.
Desired Skills
  • Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • Python, Shell scripting, and Git.
  • Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS.
  • CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitOps.
  • Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem.
