Job Description

As a Senior Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting our country's safety and security by utilizing your expertise to safeguard against threats.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the nation's most critical intelligence organizations, where your work will have a direct impact on national security and global issues. You will be part of a team that develops and maintains agency-wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain existing Red Hat OpenShift environments across multiple security domains in cloud and datacenter environments.
  • Support OpenShift operators and frameworks, including Crossplane, Kyverno, and RedHat GitOps.
  • Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.
  • Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.
  • Support data services, including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack.
  • Compile detailed documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of developer experience.
  • Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in cloud and/or vSphere environments.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • Python, Shell scripting, and Git skills.
  • Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS.
  • CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitOps.
  • Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem.
