PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The role involves executing preventive maintenance and repairs on ground support machinery, including tugs, vehicles, belt loaders, air conditioning units, airstart units, ground power units, and lavatory carts efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct inspections and maintenance on ground support machinery utilized in operations.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and/or overhaul ground support equipment.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to identify issues.
- Assemble and construct machines or mechanical components per specifications.
- Examine machines, engines, and transmissions, conducting diagnostic tests to identify operational issues.
- Perform repairs aimed at ensuring maximum reliability.
- Carry out comprehensive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Clean and lubricate machinery components as necessary.
- Refill fluids and replace components in engines and machinery.
- Advise users on proper maintenance and preventive measures for machinery or vehicles.
- Maintain logs of work performed and report on any issues encountered.
- Complete necessary GSE documentation as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Mechanical experience is preferred.
Willingness to learn through practical experience is essential.
Must possess personal tools.
A valid driver's license is mandatory.
Travel may be required for this position.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is necessary. Availability for emergency call-ins is also required.
