About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Meat Department team at Hannaford Supermarkets. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the overall success of our meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making product recommendations to customers.
  • Restock shelves, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and ensure that all products are properly rotated and facing.
  • Assist with receiving and processing meat deliveries, including unloading and storing products in the correct areas.
  • Support the meat cutters by scraping and traying products, cubing steaks, and grinding ground meats.
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize all cases, wrap stations, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment.
  • Knowledge of meat products and cutting techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
