Job Summary

Great Atlantic Management is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Property Maintenance Associate to join our team. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our storage facilities in the Williamsburg area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean vacant units and hallways, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping walls.
  • Pest Control: Perform light pest control tasks, such as spraying bug spray in hallways and inside units, and spraying wasp killer on nests.
  • Property Upkeep: Maintain the property's exterior and interior, including picking up trash, pulling/spraying weeds, removing cobwebs, and spraying mildew remover on exterior or interior of building.
  • Security and Inspections: Ensure property security by checking for damage, such as cut fences, and performing routine inspections and lock audits.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete daily, monthly, and quarterly checklists of various duties, and perform other tasks as assigned to maintain the property and grounds to company standards.
Requirements
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Strong, clear communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.
  • Work Ethic and Time Management: A strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks effectively are necessary for success in this position.
  • Reliability and Trustworthiness: Reliable transportation and a mobile phone with reliable service are required for checking and completing tasks and timekeeping. A trustworthy individual who can pass a background and drug screening is also essential.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Abilities: The ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, climb, stoop, sweep, mop, dust, and lift for a combined eight hours is required. Additionally, the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in the elements is necessary.
