About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Principal Specialist to lead our makerspace program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across a growing community of hands-on and experiential learning spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee site data collection in partnership with external non-profit organizations
  • Work across functions to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience for volunteers and scholars
  • Engage with local trends and public policy activity to innovate and problem-solve programming and engagement at local makerspace sites
  • Coordinate participation in community and charitable activities, philanthropy projects, and organizations
  • Serve as a company representative in interactions with non-profit organizations
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues and interact with local governments
  • Maintain oversight of makerspace site operations post-site launch
  • Accountable for site design assessment, data collection, and planning
  • Develop materials communicating programming progress to team and internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with employee engagement team and non-profit partners to ensure consistent program delivery and high-quality scholar experience
  • Collaborate with Sr Manager to innovate and trouble-shoot programming and strategic design
  • Maintain awareness and familiarity with relevant local trends and policy activity
  • Represent company in local STEM/STEAM and experiential learning ecosystem internally and externally

Requirements

  • Expertise in makerspace/experiential learning program design and delivery
  • Experience designing and implementing scholar-facing programming
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 8+ years) plus 7+ years of managerial experience

Nice to Have

  • Multilingual, Spanish fluency
  • Familiarity with grantmaking and corporate giving programming and trends
  • Experience implementing global programming collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and beneficiaries
  • Knowledge of education-related regulations and policy environment
  • Exceptional skills in relationship management
  • Experience in creating and delivering curriculum
  • Experience in standing up newly created programming
  • Experience working for a Fortune 500 company
  • Experience across diverse scholar and diverse employee engagement

Salary Ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):

$131,196,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.

The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.

Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
