Position Overview: This is a part-time role, limited to a maximum of 28 hours per week.
Compensation: $14.35 per hour.
The City of Florissant is seeking applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant at our Community Center. This role is essential in delivering excellent customer service while supporting and upholding the guidelines, policies, and safety measures for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcomes, monitors, and directs all incoming guests and users of the facility.
- Handles incoming phone calls, providing answers or routing them appropriately.
- Addresses public inquiries and offers general information to visitors.
- Registers participants and collects necessary fees for various programs, classes, activities, and special events.
- Manages cash transactions effectively.
- Processes identification cards for residents, employee badges, and permits for solicitors.
- Collects fees for facility usage, including swimming pool and racquetball court, and manages payments for merchandise and guest passes.
- Generates revenue and facility usage reports along with statistical data.
- Issues equipment for game rooms, gymnasiums, and recreational rentals to patrons.
- Processes annual and seasonal membership passes for department facilities.
- May assist department staff in program instruction, event coordination, and community activities.
- Provides clerical support as assigned by the department.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of clerical practices and standards.
- Possesses basic computer skills, including word processing and data entry.
- Operates office equipment and cash registers efficiently.
- Exhibits professional public relations skills along with effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma. Some college education and one year of relevant experience are preferred.
