Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wireless Systems Triage Engineer to join our Core Bluetooth Software Engineering team. As a triage engineer, you will play a critical role in identifying software bug trends, assessing severity and priority of bug reports, and assigning them to the correct engineering teams. Your expertise in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi - Bluetooth Coexistence will be essential in driving resolutions and contributing to the delivery of new features for the next generation of Bluetooth products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify emerging issues from bug reports submitted by Apple employees and external developers, and follow up with reporters to gather critical information to support the team in debugging.
  • Leverage data sources and machine learning models from across Apple to develop tools that enhance our team's triage efficiency and accuracy, ensuring that the most critical issues are prioritized and addressed first.
  • Work closely with the Core Bluetooth engineering team, cross-functional engineering teams within Apple, as well as external partners, to identify and resolve software issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with C, C++, Objective-C, Python, and/or other automation languages.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills, both internal and with external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for the customer experience and obsessive about details.
  • Skilled at assessing large numbers of tasks and software bugs to determine priority and severity.
