Job Summary

The Youth Sports Coordinator will assist with the development and implementation of our youth sports programs. This includes instructing classes, officiating games, and providing on-site leadership during practices and games. The coordinator will also provide guidance to youth sports instructors, referees, and volunteers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities for assigned youth sports programs.
  • Conduct staff meetings and trainings as needed.
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and direction to youth sports instructors, referees, and volunteers.
  • Engage with parents/guardians to provide information about their child's experience and promote upcoming programs.
  • Ensure that supplies are clean and safe, set up and stored properly.
Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of sports.
  • One or more years of experience working with children.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to problem solve and resolve conflict.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Current state-approved first-aid certification and infant/child CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English.
