Your Role

Position Overview:

The individual in this role will be accountable for various tasks aimed at enhancing departmental efficiency, which may include, but are not limited to, scheduling, patient registration, pre-admission and admission processes, reception duties, and discharge functions. It is essential to gather complete and accurate demographic information from patients. Patient Access representatives are also required to implement appropriate and compliant techniques for collecting patient liabilities before, during, and after the date of service.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. 0-1 year of experience in a Customer Service role is required. 0-1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or a related field is preferred. Some college coursework is necessary.
  • Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential for the successful execution of assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills suitable for the position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace that aligns with the workload.
  • Capacity to establish and sustain effective working relationships throughout the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
