Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality counseling services to clients on your caseload, ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions, as well as intensive outpatient services.
  • Perform assessments to identify client strengths and challenges, and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Engage families in the treatment process to foster a supportive environment for clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for each client, ensuring compliance with quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in clinical reviews, discharge planning, and case management activities.
  • Collaborate with referral sources to ensure continuity of care for clients.
  • Attend utilization and peer review meetings to contribute to the overall quality of services.

Qualifications:

General Requirements: Candidates must comply with the Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics and demonstrate a thorough understanding of addiction as a disease. A minimum of three years of treatment or recovery experience is required, with at least one year of continuous sobriety for those in recovery. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Educational Background: An Associate Degree focusing on Addictions Treatment and Prevention or an equivalent qualification is preferred.

Certification: A CDCA credential is mandatory for this position.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected, primarily within the local area.

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on certification and relevant experience.

Work Environment: The role is situated in a professional office setting, requiring regular interaction with colleagues and clients. Candidates should be prepared for prolonged periods of sitting and the occasional need to lift light objects. Maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to agency policies is expected.
