Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare operating rooms for procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques.
Requirements
  • Completion of a course in OR technology.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
