About the Job

In this exciting role as a PT Customer Service Leader at Food Lion, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers and colleagues. With a strong focus on front-end operations, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintaining high standards of customer service, and supporting the Customer Service Manager in driving sales growth through excellent service. You'll also be responsible for ensuring store office functions are completed accurately and on time, communicating all cash variances to the Assistant Customer Service Manager, and maintaining proper knowledge of all sales associate register functions and Front End accounting services.

Responsibilities and Duties

Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Smiling and providing prompt, accurate, and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Greeting each customer and using their name whenever possible
• Avoiding personal conversations with other associates when customers are present
• Ensuring store office functions are completed accurately and on time using accounting packets; communicating all cash variances to the Assistant Customer Service Manager
• Maintaining proper knowledge of all sales associate register functions and Front End accounting services
• Reporting any register malfunction to the Customer Service Manager or, in the absence of the MOD, placing service calls in an efficient manner

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, effective communication and customer service skills, and the ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. You must also be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
