Cromulence LLC, a leading cybersecurity firm based in historic downtown Melbourne, Florida, is seeking an exceptional Cybersecurity Innovation Leader to spearhead advanced research and development contracts and further enhance the nation's cybersecurity capabilities through cutting-edge research and tools. This high-profile role demands a skilled practitioner capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team structure to develop and deliver successful program capabilities.

A successful candidate for this position will be accountable for:

  • Leading cross-functional teams of engineers, data analysts, and developers to analyze customer challenges across multiple domains and leverage instrumentation and automation to resolve these challenges.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering the growth of the next generation while setting an example for what to strive for.
  • Managing customer relationships across various programs, ensuring timely delivery of milestones in line with user needs.

This role requires:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience, with a proven track record of leading teams.
  • Proficiency in reverse engineering across diverse architectures and platforms, including x86/64, ARM, MIPS, and others.
  • Experience with disassemblers (IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra), common exploitation countermeasures (DEP, ASLR, etc.), and countermeasure defeats (ROP programming).
  • Expertise in researching operating systems and applications to understand strengths and weaknesses in design and implementation.
  • Ability to model in-memory compiled application behavior.
  • Proficiency in using a scripting language (Python, etc.), software development using C or C++, and RTOS.
  • A current U.S. government security clearance is mandatory. Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. As a result, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. Applicants may be subject to additional security requirements.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with software protection and binary analysis.
  • Familiarity with modern exploitation techniques, tools, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of hypervisors.
  • Malware analysis expertise.
  • Ability to analyze network protocols throughout all layers of the network stack.
  • Background in software engineering and architecture.
  • Understanding and/or development of kernel modules.
Security Clearance:
  • A current U.S. government security clearance is mandatory. Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. As a result, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.
