As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare providers within our organization. This position is designed to support medical professionals in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring a smooth operational flow in the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Deliver direct patient care under the guidance of Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or Physicians.
- Prepare examination rooms by organizing necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
- Gather vital signs and verify health histories, maintaining precise documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist in patient communication by answering calls, collecting medical information, and reporting test results.
- Administer medications and vaccinations, prepare sterile fields, and assist with medical procedures as directed.
- Conduct health screenings, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing, while providing support for wound care and splinting.
- Respond promptly to urgent clinical situations and assist in maintaining clinic inventory and equipment.
- Be flexible to float to various departments or clinic locations as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, or similar clinical training program.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
