The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a vital member of our care team, providing direct resident care and support in our Assisted Living community. As a CNA, you will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure the highest level of care and service for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other duties as directed.
- Accurately and timely check and record vital signs, including temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressures.
- Weigh residents and record weights.
- Ensure residents are clean, dry, and comfortable.
- Report resident information to the supervising nurse or manager in a timely fashion.
- Timely and accurately record information on appropriate charting forms.
- Complete required documentation of nursing care to meet state and facility requirements.
- May perform custodial, housekeeping, food service duties, and wheelchair escort services as necessary.
- Assist residents with eating when necessary.
- Initiate and participate in case conferences related to resident goals and care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- MO CNA certification required if working in MO; KS CNA and Home Health aide certification required if working in KS.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent time management skills and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, handbooks, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple sentences, paragraphs, and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
The associate is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions that provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The associate is exposed to infectious diseases. The associate is required to function around individuals with challenged mental capacities. Required to drive from one location to another if necessary for services provided through the department.
