Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing direct care to residents in our Memory Care unit. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the Village's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other duties within the scope of practice.
  • Accurately and timely check and record vital signs, including temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressures.
  • Ensure residents are clean, dry, and comfortable.
  • Report resident information to the supervising nurse or manager in a timely manner.
  • Timely and accurately record information on appropriate charting forms.
  • Complete required documentation of nursing care to meet state and Village requirements.
  • Perform custodial, housekeeping, food service duties, and wheelchair escort services as necessary.
  • Assist residents with eating when necessary.
  • Initiate and participate in case conferences related to resident goals and care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • MO CNA certification required if working in MO; KS CNA and Home Health aide certification required if working in KS.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment, frequently subject to inside environmental conditions. The associate may be exposed to infectious diseases and will be required to function around individuals with challenged mental capacities.

Physical and Mental Demands

The Certified Nursing Assistant will be required to lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds. The associate will also be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
