We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Chemist, Food to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine ICP-OES and ICP-MS analyses, instrument maintenance, and data reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field, and 4+ years of relevant ICP bench/lab experience. Advanced Degree in Chemistry is preferred.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine sample analysis for client samples
  • Responsive to any quality related problem and immediate initiation of investigation, corrective actions and follow up
  • Maintaining and verifying equipment
  • Maintaining records of all quality activities as documented in Operating Procedures and test methods
  • Handles samples and performing analyses according to Operating Procedures and test methods
  • Reports deficiencies or malfunction to the supervisor
  • Identifies and records nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests
