Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemist - Food Analysis to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine ICP-OES and ICP-MS analyses, instrument maintenance, and data reporting. You will also provide leadership, direction, and training to the Chemists and Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine sample analysis for client samples
  • Respond to any quality-related problems and initiate investigations, corrective actions, and follow-ups
  • Maintain and verify equipment
  • Maintain records of all quality activities as documented in Operating Procedures and test methods
  • Handle samples and perform analyses according to Operating Procedures and test methods
  • Report deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor
  • Identify and record nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field or 4 years of commercial laboratory experience - Required
  • 4+ years of relevant ICP bench/lab experience - Required
  • Advanced Degree in Chemistry - Preferred
