About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Support Specialist to join our team on the short stay unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on patient care and contribute to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist licensed nurses in providing direct patient care, ensuring the highest standard of quality and safety.
* Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering open communication and collaboration.
* Participate in maintaining a clean and organized environment, adhering to infection control protocols and efficient use of resources.
* Collect and record accurate patient data, facilitating seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
* Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote a culture of safety, respect, and empathy.

Requirements

* Education:
* Currently holds a Florida certificate as a Nursing Assistant,
* Or, has completed a Nursing Assistant course and is scheduled to take the Florida State exam, and will obtain certification within four months (120 days) from date of hire,
* or Currently holds a Nursing Assistant license in another U.S. state and is seeking Florida licensure and will obtain Certification within four months (120 days) of hire.

* Certification:
* American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider upon hire and maintain certification.

* Experience:
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
* Must meet unit-specific care requirements.

* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Proficient in English language and computer software applications.
* Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments with diverse patient populations.
* Capacity to prioritize tasks and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
* Effective problem-solving skills and ability to escalate concerns as needed.
* Familiarity with medical terminology an asset.
