Job Title: Senior Water Resources Engineer

LJB Engineering is a national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with a strong presence in the water resources sector. We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional engineering services to our clients.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer to support our water resources practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrology, hydraulic analysis, and water resources engineering, with experience in working with various software tools and technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects, managing teams, and providing technical expertise to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage water resources projects, including hydrologic analysis, hydraulic modeling, and water resources planning.
  • Develop and implement water resources engineering solutions, including drainage design, flood control, and water supply systems.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality results.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians to ensure the success of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the firm's expertise remains at the forefront.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on water resources engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with a strong background in hydrology and hydraulic analysis.
  • At least 6-12 years of experience in water resources engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
