Residential LPN for Inpatient Care

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Family Resource Center. In this role, you will provide essential nursing care to clients with primary mental health diagnoses and/or co-occurring disorders.

Your Role: As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will focus on treatment planning and ensure smooth transitions to outpatient services. Your commitment to community health will be reflected in your daily interactions and care coordination with local mental health and substance use disorder services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health assessments and monitor the physical and emotional well-being of clients.
  • Record vital signs and document any necessary examinations or treatments.
  • Collaborate with clients and their families to address behavioral concerns and symptoms.
  • Assist clients in accessing appropriate health services, including lab work and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure the confidentiality of client information.
  • Manage medical supplies and submit recommendations for procurement.
  • Document billable units and manage authorization for the release of information.
  • Administer injections, perform venipunctures, and oversee medication education.
  • Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to enhance client care.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacies to support medication management.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio.
  • Associate's degree or higher in nursing.
  • Current driver's license and ability to maintain auto insurance.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Proficient in using various computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or community mental health services.
