We are actively recruiting for a Medical Equipment Technician in your area. If you're passionate about making a profound impact on patients' lives, consider this opportunity.

About the Role:

  • This position is responsible for ensuring safe delivery and setup of home medical equipment, educating customers on its proper use, and maintaining accurate records.
  • You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • As a Medical Equipment Technician, you will be expected to maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company, as well as applicable governmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products and services offered by AdaptHealth LLC.
  • Educate customers on proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.
  • Complete required documentation following equipment setup, delivery, or pickups.
  • Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
  • Process orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Promote services and products to referral sources in the community.
  • Maintain reimbursement knowledge and document necessary information for reimbursement.
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives and contribute to meeting company policies.
  • Maintain home oxygen systems through regular visits to customers.
  • Safely drive and maintain company vehicles.
  • Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for patient care.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment according to company policies.
  • Report equipment hazards and product incidents as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Entry-level sales and customer service background essential.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, military, delivery driving, or sales preferred.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Mental alertness and ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
