Position Overview

White House Utility District (WHUD) is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Trainee Water Treatment Facility Operator. This position is designed to equip candidates with the necessary training and hands-on experience to achieve certification as a Grade IV Water Treatment Facility Operator.

Compensation: The initial pay rate for this role is $20 per hour, with the potential for negotiation based on relevant experience, certifications, and qualifications.

Operational Requirements

The Water Treatment Facility operates continuously, requiring staff availability for 12-hour rotating shifts, including both day and night schedules, as well as holidays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

The Trainee Water Treatment Facility Operator will engage in:

  • Conducting preventative maintenance, maintaining cleanliness, and performing equipment repairs.
  • Executing routine laboratory tasks and other responsibilities to ensure water quality meets or surpasses all federal and state standards.
  • Monitoring the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system to assess operational conditions at the facility and throughout the District's distribution and sewer systems.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma.
  • A valid driver's license.

Additionally, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
